Bug City Video Series
Bug City is a series of video programs created to help kids learn about insects and other small critters. Hosted by Christina Ricci and entomologist Dr. Art Evans, with Bugsy Seagull, a wisecracking puppet that adds playful mischief and makes kids laugh as they learn about the world of insects. All aspects of bug life are touched upon, including body structure, food, habitat, life cycle, mating, camouflage, symbiosis, adaptations, and social behavior.
Students also learn how to collect and care for various insects, how to build insect habitats and attract interesting species to them, and observe them in action. Entertaining and highly informative series will delight kids who are interested in bugs and want to learn more about them. For grades 1 – 6. 23 minutes. Programs include:
