Insect eyes range from very basic light-sensitive spots to the multi-directional compound eyes of dragonflies. This kit allows viewers to experience how various insect eyes see the world around them.
The kit includes three eyepieces, a retainer ring, and a viewing tube. It works like an eyepiece, with three interchangeable lenses to simulate insect eyes. The red tube used for holding the lenses measures a little less than three inches. The lenses are beveled to give viewers a bugs-eye-view.
You can put lenses in front of a camera or a cell phone camera and take pictures with them to show what insects see.
