An excellent medium for cementing cover glasses over zoological and botanical specimens on microslides. Consists of resin dissolved to a mounting consistency in reagent grade Toulene. A plasticizer is added to keep resin from crazing.
It should be noted that this slide mounting medium is very similar to Canadian Balsam, Euparal, PVA, and Hoyer’s but does not provide any clearing action, and needs to be heat cured for permanence. Curing is typically done in a slide oven or on a trivet and will take upwards to 24 hours depending on the method used.
Packed in amber bottle. Be aware that some chemicals used in the formulation of this product may react with a rubber stopper when using a dropping pipette. A polyseal cap has been provided to extend shelf life.
NOTE: This chemical is considered hazardous or flammable by U.S. Dept. of Transportation. It can be shipped only by surface UPS, FedEx, or Parcel Post, and only to destinations within the U.S.
